"Sangria On Crack" - The Recipe March 25 2014
Let me tell you a little "fun fact" about the Minted Boss Babe....a few years ago I ran a online cooking blog, the Pretty Little Chef. I'm one of those people that take on too many projects at one time and soon after I had my son (who is now two) I came to realize that the cooking blog + kids + working was just not going to work out anymore. Sadly, I had to give up the blog. I still cook my fantastic meals, but to blog it and post it just added more work on to my already crazy lifestyle. My special cooking skill was to take existing recipes and give them the "Pretty Little Chef" twist and make it my own. I have a taste for great flavor and I know what ingredients to add to take a recipe to next level status. With that said...I thought...why not add a few new recipes here and there to my "MINTED BLOG".. so here I am...
The Story behind..Sangria On Crack:
My cousins and I are obsessed with the Sangria from our favorite Italian Place, Old Spaghetti Factory. One of my cousins knew a bartender there and he gave her the recipe (shhh don't tell) Naturally, I had to use ingredients on hand and give it my own special twist and the results were AUH-MAZ-ING. I have named this masterpiece...Sangria On Crack. Once you drink it...you won't be able to stop. I promise.

SANGRIA ON CRACK - THE RECIPE:
- 1 Bottle of Madria Sangria
- 6 oz Vodka (flavored would be even better!)
- 4 oz. Grenadine
- 4 oz. Sweet & Sour
- 4 oz. Triple Sec
- 5-6 Strawberries Pureed
- 1 Liter of 7-up
- Orange Slices & Misc Strawberries cut in half
- Combine everything BUT the ice, 7up, & orange/strawberry slices in a pitcher
- Chill in the fridge for 2-3 hours.
- Fill a cup 1/4 way with ice, pour half of the sangria mixture & half 7-up
- Garnish with Orange Slices and Strawberries
- Don't drink and drive.
